Dear Friends,
I was lucky enough to read this book when it was still a manuscript and now I can hold it in the palm of my hands. This above picture was taken in the Toronto Public Library. I love this little book for all that it says about love and grief (in context of trauma and suicide). I love that Bob embraced bleakness in its entirety in this one. And I love that this book is structured like a novel. If there’s one book that I recommend from last year, it’s this one. Why, you might ask. See for yourself in these poems below.
May your heart be a lantern,
Karan
Just when you thought “I need Bob Hicok’s poems in my life”, you think “I -NEED- Bob Hicok’s poems in my life.”
These are marvellous poems
